McKay/Sheppard Awards 2008
The 2008 McKay/Sheppard Awards are tentatively scheduled to open for nominations on October 10th. Start gathering your favorite McKay/Sheppard stories, art and vids to nominate!
All stories, art and vids are eligible for nomination EXCEPT the 2007 WINNERS (first place).
For those new to the McKay/Sheppard awards, please make sure that you read the rules BEFORE you nominate.
Nominating Rules
* You must create an account through the awards website in order to nominate.
* You are free to nominate your own stories or artwork in the awards. You cannot nominate more than ten (10) pieces combined (stories + art) of your own work. If we see you attempting to nominate more than 10 of your own pieces, through one or more email addresses, you will be disqualified from the awards.
* You are not able to nominate your own work in the Best Author/Story or Best Artist/Artwork categories.
* A category must have at least 5 nominations to be left standing in the awards. If there are not enough nominations in a particular category, categories may be combined at the Awards team's discretion.
The rules will be revamped a bit before this year's awards so it would be beneficial for EVERYONE to reread them before they begin nominating stories.
Also, for those that are NOMINATED, you will need to read the rules carefully as well because there will be no negotiation when it comes to the way we run these awards. They are hard enough to run without people emailing and asking us to change things around to suit them. If you do not agree with our rules or with the way we run things, you are free to decline any nominations you receive though we will be sorry to see you do so but will respect your choice.
As I said above, the October 10th date is just tentative and could change within the next month or so. Any changes will be announced here and on the livejournal community for the awards.

You'll notice at the end of each winner is a "banner" link. You'll also notice that the Puddlejumper Award banners do NOT work. That is because, sadly, they are not finished yet. Things are just too crazy here right now with Christmas so...the Puddlejumper Award winners will get their banners in a few days. Sorry guys! But I didn't want to delay any longer in posting the winners.
